About us You'll join MTS (Managed Trading Services) - the platform behind Sportradar's risk betting management, processing millions of bets in real time for operators around the world. Our teams own high-throughput, low-latency services: risk and liability, odds and offer, ticket validation, and the data plane that feeds them. We work in a modern cloud-native stack: Java (Spring Boot / Quarkus), Kafka / MSK, gRPC & Protobuf, AWS (EKS, ECS, DynamoDB, Aurora), ArgoCD / GitOps, Terraform, and observability on Grafana, Prometheus and OpenTelemetry. This is a great place to level up: you'll ship real features to production quickly, learn a genuinely rich domain, and grow toward owning larger pieces of it. The challenge - Design, build, test and ship backend services and APIs that are part of a larger, real-time system; and see them through to production. - Deliver in small increments. Break work into concrete, independently shippable pieces that land and get validated as you go, rather than accumulating into one big drop. - Own your changes in production; help with monitoring, alerting and the occasional on-call, and learn how your services behave under real load. - Write clean, well-tested, documented code, take part in code review, and help capture key decisions so the team can build on them. - Learn the MTS ecosystem; how the interconnected services fit together; and grow the independence to make more calls yourself over time. - Work with product managers and senior engineers to turn requirements into well-shaped, deliverable work. - Use modern, AI-assisted development; we actively encourage spec-driven, agentic workflows to move faster with quality. About you Must-have skills - 2+ years of professional experience with Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar modern frameworks) or another strong OO language. - Good grasp of computer science fundamentals and clean, testable code. - Solid understanding of automated testing; unit, integration, and API testing (JUnit, Mockito, or similar). - Comfortable with CI/CD and collaborative git workflows. - AI-assisted, spec-driven development as part of your day-to-day workflow; not just autocomplete. - Willingness to run what you build; going beyond writing code to owning your changes in production (deployment, monitoring, on-call). Nice-to-have skills - Exposure to AWS, Kafka, Docker / Kubernetes, or relational and NoSQL databases. - Familiarity with gRPC / protobuf, Rest API design, or event-driven systems. - Interest in IaC (Terraform), GitOps, or observability tooling. - Interest in betting, trading, or other real-time / high-throughput domains. Personal traits - Eager to learn; a complex domain and a modern stack, quickly. - Takes ownership of their work and wants to grow toward owning features end-to-end. - A collaborative teammate with good communication who asks questions and gives honest input. - Pragmatic, with a bias toward shipping small and often. - A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to high professional standards. Our offer - A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world (Engineering offices in Europe, Asia, and the US), including various social events and teambuilding. - Ability to shape your own workday and career via a clearly defined professional and personal development plan. - Opportunity to develop yourself within an inspiring and fast-growing company with our Career framework possibilities. - Vibrant and inclusive community, including Women in Tech and Pride groups, which welcome all participants. - Global Employee Assistance Programme. - Calm and Reulay app (managing stress, maintaining focus, improving sleep, building resilience). - Online training videos. - Flexible working hours. While we appreciate the flexibility and benefits of working from home, we strongly believe that coming together in person fosters stronger connections, encourages collaboration, and drives innovation; both as individuals and as a company. The energy, shared ideas, and team support we experience in the office strengthen the foundation of our success and culture. For this reason, we are an office-first business operating on a fully on-site model, with team members working in the office five days a week to build relationships, exchange ideas, and grow together. Certain exemptions may apply depending on location; your local point of contact can provide further details. Our recruitment process - Initial screening: a quick video chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner. - Introduction interview: meet the technical team and hiring manager to dive into the team and your expertise. - Technical assessment: a short home task with emphasis on your AI-assisted, spec-driven development skills; showing how you use agentic workflows to deliver. - Final interview: discuss your solution and team fit with additional team members. - Final steps: feedback and, if successful, an offer. https://smrtr.io/B-Dps

At Celtra, data is an important part of the products we build. We ingest and transform data from a range of internal and external sources and use it to power analytical features, APIs, and increasingly AI-powered experiences for our users. We are looking for a Software Developer, Data to join our product engineering team. This is a software engineering role focused on building product-facing data systems and features end to end - from understanding and modeling the data to pipelines, backend services, and user-facing experiences. You will work across the stack, own features through production, and help us build reliable and maintainable systems that turn data into useful product capabilities. What tools do we use? Our data platform is centered around Snowflake and dbt, with Fivetran and custom integrations handling data ingestion. We use Terraform for infrastructure as code and CI/CD extensively to automate testing and delivery. Our application stack is built primarily with TypeScript, with Vue.js on the frontend. The team also builds backend services, analytical APIs, workers, and orchestration infrastructure. AI is also part of how we build software. We have an AI-assisted SDLC in place where engineers orchestrate coding agents to offload repetitive and tedious work, while staying responsible for technical decisions, quality, and outcomes. 1. Your Responsibilities - Own and build product features end to end, working across data pipelines, backend services, and frontend when needed, and taking them through to production. - Understand the data and its sources, and design and evolve data models that are clear, maintainable, and reusable. - Build and improve our data pipelines and infrastructure, from ingestion and transformation to orchestration, reliability, and production operation. - Build analytical APIs, services, and frontend experiences that make data available to our products and users. - Work with product stakeholders, clients, and vendors to understand needs, investigate problems, and turn them into practical technical solutions. - Contribute to the evolution of our data platform, including data quality, governance, observability, and AI-powered capabilities. 2. Qualifications - Strong SQL and data modeling skills, with experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with layered transformation patterns such as raw/staging, intermediate, and curated data models. - Solid software engineering fundamentals, with experience building and operating production systems and backend services. - Good understanding of software engineering practices such as automated testing, CI/CD, and production observability. - Ability to independently own and deliver moderately complex engineering work, from understanding the problem through implementation and production operation. - Good verbal and written English communication skills. 3. What brings extra points? - Hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran or other ingestion frameworks, Terraform, or TypeScript. - Experience building distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, or orchestration systems. - Experience designing data quality, observability, or governance systems. - Experience building or improving development harnesses for coding agents and agentic workflows. - Experience developing AI agents or systems that provide AI applications with access to structured company data. - Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js. 4. What we value You don't need to know every tool in our stack. What matters more is that you are curious, proactive, and motivated to grow. We value engineers who like to understand how things really work, take ownership beyond the initial implementation, and are comfortable working across different parts of the stack. You should enjoy turning ambiguous problems into practical solutions and continuously expanding what you can take on independently. 1. Why Celtra? - Impact: Create high-quality digital work for leading global brands across a wide range of campaigns and formats. - Culture: We are inventive, collaborative, and proudly a little bit quirky - because doing great work should also be fun. - Flexibility: Hybrid with strong hubs in Ljubljana, London and New York, and team get-togethers that keep us connected. - Growth: You will learn from experienced team members and grow into bigger roles as you go. 2. What we offer? - Flexible working hours and hybrid work based on a fixed number of in-office days. - A dedicated educational budget to explore new skills and deepen your expertise. - Equipment of your choice. - Knowledge shares. - Additional pension and health insurance. - WFH budget. An additional budget of 500 EUR to set up your home space. - Employee well-being. Dedicated budget for any kind of wellness activities such as fitness, yoga, etc. Apply here: https://celtra.com/careers/openings/#op-706810-software-developer-data
