openDAQ defines an abstraction layer for DAQ devices and signal processing blocks, designed to describe virtually any measurement system. What sets openDAQ apart from other standards (e.g. OPC UA, MQTT, ASAM, EtherCAT) is that it doesn't aim to stand apart from them, but to bring them into a shared ecosystem.
