Zasnoval/a boš podatkovni model, nad njim zgradil/a čist GraphQL API in vse skupaj povezal/a v hiter, odziven vmesnik v Reactu in Next.js. Potek izbirnega postopka: Uvodni pogovor z Ano (Talent Partner) Kratka tehnična naloga Tehnični pogovor z Nejcem (Lead Software Developer) in Urbanom (CEO in soustanovitelj) – Vsaj 2 leti izkušenj z razvojem na frontendu in backendu, – obvezne izkušnje z Reactom, Next.js in GraphQL, – solidne backend izkušnje z Node.js in TypeScriptom, – dobro znanje SQL in PostgreSQL: razumeš, kako baza izvaja poizvedbe, in skrbiš, da ostanejo hitre, brez skrivanja za ORM-jem, – dobro znanje HTML, CSS, JavaScripta in Gita. – izkušnje z razvojem spletnih aplikacij ali dashboardov. – sposobnost samostojnega dela in izvedbe v dogovorjenih rokih. - Kulturo globokega dela (Deep Work): minimalno število sestankov in klicev. About us You'll join MTS (Managed Trading Services) - the platform behind Sportradar's risk betting management, processing millions of bets in real time for operators around the world. Our teams own high-throughput, low-latency services: risk and liability, odds and offer, ticket validation, and the data plane that feeds them. We work in a modern cloud-native stack: Java (Spring Boot / Quarkus), Kafka / MSK, gRPC & Protobuf, AWS (EKS, ECS, DynamoDB, Aurora), ArgoCD / GitOps, Terraform, and observability on Grafana, Prometheus and OpenTelemetry. This is a great place to level up: you'll ship real features to production quickly, learn a genuinely rich domain, and grow toward owning larger pieces of it. The challenge - Design, build, test and ship backend services and APIs that are part of a larger, real-time system; and see them through to production. - Deliver in small increments. Break work into concrete, independently shippable pieces that land and get validated as you go, rather than accumulating into one big drop. - Own your changes in production; help with monitoring, alerting and the occasional on-call, and learn how your services behave under real load. - Write clean, well-tested, documented code, take part in code review, and help capture key decisions so the team can build on them. - Learn the MTS ecosystem; how the interconnected services fit together; and grow the independence to make more calls yourself over time. - Work with product managers and senior engineers to turn requirements into well-shaped, deliverable work. - Use modern, AI-assisted development; we actively encourage spec-driven, agentic workflows to move faster with quality. About you Must-have skills - 2+ years of professional experience with Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, or similar modern frameworks) or another strong OO language. - Good grasp of computer science fundamentals and clean, testable code. - Solid understanding of automated testing; unit, integration, and API testing (JUnit, Mockito, or similar). - Comfortable with CI/CD and collaborative git workflows. - AI-assisted, spec-driven development as part of your day-to-day workflow; not just autocomplete. - Willingness to run what you build; going beyond writing code to owning your changes in production (deployment, monitoring, on-call). Nice-to-have skills - Exposure to AWS, Kafka, Docker / Kubernetes, or relational and NoSQL databases. - Familiarity with gRPC / protobuf, Rest API design, or event-driven systems. - Interest in IaC (Terraform), GitOps, or observability tooling. - Interest in betting, trading, or other real-time / high-throughput domains. Personal traits - Eager to learn; a complex domain and a modern stack, quickly. - Takes ownership of their work and wants to grow toward owning features end-to-end. - A collaborative teammate with good communication who asks questions and gives honest input. - Pragmatic, with a bias toward shipping small and often. - A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to high professional standards. Our offer - A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world (Engineering offices in Europe, Asia, and the US), including various social events and teambuilding. - Ability to shape your own workday and career via a clearly defined professional and personal development plan. - Opportunity to develop yourself within an inspiring and fast-growing company with our Career framework possibilities. - Vibrant and inclusive community, including Women in Tech and Pride groups, which welcome all participants. - Global Employee Assistance Programme. - Calm and Reulay app (managing stress, maintaining focus, improving sleep, building resilience). - Online training videos. - Flexible working hours. While we appreciate the flexibility and benefits of working from home, we strongly believe that coming together in person fosters stronger connections, encourages collaboration, and drives innovation; both as individuals and as a company. The energy, shared ideas, and team support we experience in the office strengthen the foundation of our success and culture. For this reason, we are an office-first business operating on a fully on-site model, with team members working in the office five days a week to build relationships, exchange ideas, and grow together. Certain exemptions may apply depending on location; your local point of contact can provide further details. Our recruitment process - Initial screening: a quick video chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner. - Introduction interview: meet the technical team and hiring manager to dive into the team and your expertise. - Technical assessment: a short home task with emphasis on your AI-assisted, spec-driven development skills; showing how you use agentic workflows to deliver. - Final interview: discuss your solution and team fit with additional team members. - Final steps: feedback and, if successful, an offer. https://smrtr.io/B-Dps
openDAQ
openDAQ defines an abstraction layer for DAQ devices and signal processing blocks, designed to describe virtually any measurement system. What sets openDAQ apart from other standards (e.g. OPC UA, MQTT, ASAM, EtherCAT) is that it doesn't aim to stand apart from them, but to bring them into a shared ecosystem. We do this through translator modules that map other standards to and from the openDAQ model, so that existing third-party software can connect to openDAQ, and vice versa. As the Protocols & Connectivity software engineer, you'll own these translators. You'll design, build and evolve them, making sure they're secure, perform well under real-world data loads and conform to each protocol's standard. You'll also maintain the protocol infrastructure in the openDAQ core, and keep track of evolving industry standards to help shape the openDAQ roadmap. What you will do - Develop modules that translate DAQ and industrial standards (e.g. OPC UA, MQTT, ASAM) to and from the openDAQ model - Build shared protocol infrastructure in the openDAQ core - Extend and maintain the protocol-facing parts of the openDAQ API - Implement protocol security, including encryption, authentication, authorization and certificate management - Optimize data streaming performance (bandwidth, latency, resource usage) - Ensure interoperability with third-party products that use the supported protocols - Integrate and test third-party protocol libraries used by openDAQ - Track and research relevant industry standards - Maintain clear documentation and examples of how openDAQ maps to each protocol Not all are strictly necessary, but we expect you to learn whatever you do not yet know. - Strong knowledge of C++ - Experience with CMake - Understanding of software architecture and design principles - Knowledge of network stacks and basic socket programming - Experience working on larger backend projects - Solid understanding of API design - Familiarity with various backend libraries Nice to have - Knowledge of secure programming practices - Experience with industrial or communication protocols - Experience working on long-lived platforms or SDKs - Applications from less experienced candidates are also welcome if they demonstrate strong motivation and technical understanding. What we're looking for in you - Critical thinking: You question assumptions and don't accept ideas at face value. You consider the wider context, and you aim to solve problems, not just ship features - End-to-end ownership: You research, plan and execute your work, from the initial idea to final validation - Curiosity and a drive to learn: You enjoy working with and learning about new technologies and tools, and you're comfortable starting a task with incomplete knowledge and learning as you go - Collaboration: You work towards shared goals, not just your own tasks, and are comfortable offering, asking for, and accepting help - Work on an open-source core used by industry worldwide - Direct influence on architecture and the long-term direction of openDAQ - Technically challenging and meaningful work without feature churn - Collaboration with experienced engineers in core systems and protocols, including those from Dewesoft and HBK - Competitive salary and a performance-based bonus system - Location: Trbovlje, Slovenia. Possibility of a hybrid work setup - Rewards: based on individual and company performance - Employment type: Full-time [email protected] (Please include C++ Engineer in the email subject.)
